The American Association of Meat Processors (AAMP) announced registration is now open for the 87th American Convention of Meat Processors & Suppliers’ Exhibition, which will be held at the Baird Center in Milwaukee, Wis., July 9-11.
The convention will feature a variety of informational sessions, with topics ranging from food safety and plant efficiency to animal welfare and more. Live demonstrations will provide attendees a chance to learn new skills and hone their understanding of meat processing with expert tips. Additionally, the convention will showcase its annual exhibit hall and the highly anticipated American Cured Meats Championships.
Processor, allied, associate and student members can register on the association’s website. AAMP noted that exhibitor and non-exhibiting supplier members will register through a separate process, which will be rolling out soon.
AAMP has also made tickets available for pre-convention bus tours. This year, AAMP is offering two different bus tour routes on July 8. The north route will stop at Eden Meat Market, Gehring's Meat Market, PS Seasoning and Pro Smoker, while the southwest route will stop at Lake Geneva Country Meats, Country Pride Meats, Sorg Farm Packing and Wilson Farm Meats.
Tickets are also available for AAMP’s Thursday Night Event at Discovery World and the closing Saturday banquet.
