Pack Expo 2025 sessions home in with labor, AI and automation

The packaging industry has evolved considerably over the years, transforming into an increasingly automated business featuring cutting-edge robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), sustainable technology and more.

The industry’s premier trade show, Pack Expo Las Vegas, has evolved alongside it, expanding in size and in its offerings to better serve attendees.

“It’s hard to believe Pack Expo Las Vegas started as a regional show 30 years ago,” said Jorge Izquierdo, vice president, market development, PMMI. “From a regional event to an international powerhouse, Pack Expo Las Vegas has expanded dramatically in size, scope and impact.”

This year’s show, held Sept. 29-Oct. 1, is no exception, offering numerous new features and building on existing ones. New to the show in 2025 are guided tours that simplify the show experience for busy attendees. The Pack Expo Discovery Tours, designed for senior decision-makers and first-time equipment buyers alike, provide insights into new technology on the floor. The Pack Expo Sustainability Tour is curated for CPG brand owners seeking sustainable solutions.

The show will feature six targeted pavilions — The Processing Zone, The Confectionery Pavilion, The Logistics Pavilion, the Reusable Packaging Pavilion, the Container and Materials Pavilion, and the Healthcare Packaging Pavilion — each of which has grown since the last show. The Processing Zone in particular has doubled in size, Izquierdo said.

Pack Expo remains an education hub as well, offering more than 100 free education sessions tackling topics such as the workforce gap, AI and automation.

The Innovation Stages will present 30-minute sessions on new technologies and best practices, while the Processing Innovation Stage zeroes in on streamlining production and enhancing product quality.
