Brazil’s Pork Export Engine Hits High Gear in H1 2025

Brazil’s Pork Export Engine Hits High Gear in H1 2025

In the first half of 2025, Brazil‘s pork industry delivered record-breaking performance. Export volumes surged by nearly 18% year‑over‑year, reaching roughly 713,000 tonnes, while export revenue jumped almost 50%, topping USD 1.8 billion—a historic milestone.

June alone stood out, with about 135,000 tonnes exported—Brazil’s second-highest monthly volume ever—and revenues surging close to USD 350 million, up nearly 50% compared to June 2024.

What’s Fueling This Momentum?

Rising global demand, especially from Southeast Asia and Latin America. The Philippines emerged as Brazil’s fastest-growing destination, with dramatic volume gains.

High-value buyers like Japan and Singapore are paying premium prices per tonne.

Brazil’s competitive export pricing, aided by currency shifts and firm global meat markets.

Its African Swine Fever–free status gives Brazil access to markets with strict health standards—an advantage many competitors lack.
